Valencia beat Salzburg 3-0 to book place in group stage
VALENCIA, Spain, Aug 22 (Reuters) - First-half goals from Fernando Morientes and David Villa and an injury-time strike from David Silva gave Valencia a 3-0 win over Salzburg that put them into the Champions League group stage 3-1 on aggregate. Valencia, losing finalists in the competition in 2000 and 2001, wiped out their 1-0 deficit from the first leg of the third qualifying round tie when Morientes put them ahead in the 13th minute.
